False pregnancy

I have a 14 month old female shar pei and 6 month old male shar pei. 6 weeks ago at the end of her estrus she was pushing him to mate with her. She was wearing pants but he kept pulling them off. I don’t think he could reach and I never saw them tie. Her teats are big, her ribcage is definately bigger, she is eating more and is extremely affectionate and needy with us. I took her to the vet for entropian surgery on Tuesday but asked him first to check for pregnancy. He tried to palpate her but typical sharpei that she is, she doesnot like strangers touching her and tensed up. The vet said he would do it under sedation. When I picked her up, he had done the entropian surgery and forgotten to check for pregnancy. So I still do not know if it is false or not and am now worried if she is, she has had a general anaestetic. How do I know if it is a false pregnancy or real?
